mother's day OOTD + FOTD

Our family celebrated mother's day yesterday to avoid crowded and jampacked restaurants. I realize I haven't posted FOTDs and OOTDs for quite a while so I'll show you what I was wearing yesterday ---
wait --- A happy mother's day to all mothers out there! :) You ladies deserve mad props. (insert clapping sound here)

Outfit of the day/night:

Dress - Dasha Dress from Luca
Watch - Tag Heuer
Rings - Charriol
Necklace and bracelet - Tiffany & Co.

This dress is so comfortable. The one I bought is a bit loose on the waistline. I love how demure it looks in the front with a daring twist on the back. I love wearing white clothes, because it never goes of style, and there is something about white that just makes it elegant and sophisticated.

- Burberry Light Glow in No. 2 Cameo Blush

benefit POWda WOWza (I used the bronzer to contour)
- BECCA Line + Define Pencil in Santorini (I used the off white color on my water line)
- Sephora Flasy Liner waterproof in 10 deep black
Lunasol - 3 Dimensional Eye Shadow in EX01 Tender Glow Beige Brown (I used the darkest color to wing out my eyeliner)
Majolica Majorca Lash Kind in BK999

Burberry Lip Cover in No. 03 Cameo Pink

Blair commented that she loved my makeup - Thank you hun! :) It stayed on for more than 12 hours so I'm pretty contented with the products I used. I will do a food post soon! I really didn't take many pictures of myself yesterday, as I was more interested in taking food pictures. Hence, I ended up with solo iPhone pictures. Sorry for the poor quality.

BECCA Beach Tint in Fig and Grapefruit

Sunny mornings and rainy afternoons - we are headed towards the rainy season but my love for BECCA beach tints is growing stronger despite the changes in the weather.

BECCA's beach tints are waterproof so getting drenched in the rain wouldn't be a problem, because it will stay put. Yes, I have tested this on the beach and I can say that the beach tints are waterproof. Of course it will fade a little but as I have previously statedon my  BECCA's Beach Tint in Raspberry review HERE, the beach tint won't look weird as the color lightens on the face.

I have purchased 2 more beach tints.
(I am wondering if I could combine the colors and come up with a new one? Maybe I should pick up more.)
For those who are not familiar with Beach tints, these are products that come in a tube in different colors. Probably is one if not the top selling BECCA product. As the name implies, they are tints that impart a healthy wash of color on the face or lips. All beach tints can be used on the cheeks as well as on the lips. The texture is like melted butter, meaning it is runny but still has a bit of creaminess to it. Beach tints are also very easy to apply and work with. One can layer the product on with several layers to get more color or one may opt for a more subtle and natural look with just a tiny bit of the product.

Top - BECCA's Beach Tint in Fig
Bottom - BECCA's Beach Tint in Grapefruit

I was supposed to get Guava, however, it seems Guava is sold out everywhere so I decided to get Grapefruit instead. I like both colors on the cheek. On the lips, Fig is the perfect nude color that wouldn't make  person look like a zombie.
I really like Fig! It is indeed the perfect nude shade, however, it probably won't show up on skin tones that are darker than NC25-30. If you have light skin, this is a must try!
I like Grapefruit on the cheeks, but on my lips it turns into a very weird tangerine color. Among the 3 beach tints I own, this one is also the most oily. I have even resorted to storing it in the refrigerator to no avail. There's just too much oil in the product and shaking the tube can be quite a pain sometimes.

NOTE: Remember - vigorously shake before applying the beach tint.

The only downside to these are the price which some may find a bit too much. Do keep in mind though that you only need a tiny bit for each application. The product contained in these tubes will probably last for months so it's pretty much worth it in my opinion.

Color - Pale Coral Pink
I wouldn't say it's pale at all, but I agree that it is indeed a Coral.
Scent - smells like lemon cookies.
Colour Payoff -  Coral and this is rather pigmented.

Color - Tea Rose Pink
It's the perfect nude color with a splash of pink or is a nude pink as some would say.
Scent - smells so lovely! it smells really fruity.
Colour Payoff - This product is very sheer. Take note of the word sheer because it might not show up on people with darker skin tones.

Here's a picture of the beach tints I currently own. Now, I usually do not purchase a product with the same formula or same use in different colors. I constantly just pick the one I like the most and would spend on other products but I am really inlove with Becca's beach tints!

Swatches were done on my sister's arm while she was taking a nap on the sofa. hahaha! :))

BECCA products can be purchased from Adora Manila at 1,850.00 Php per tube.

Have a great weekend everyone! Enjoy!

Bolinao 2012 - I did go back!

If you're wondering where I have been while I was not blogging.

Here's my sister, the Hamham. :3 So far away~
I did state that I was going back to Bolinao last year, did I not? I just find Bolinao very relaxing and it isn't as crowded as some beaches are. The people there are also very warm and helpful. I guess I will let the pictures speak for themselves:

The seashore at Bolinao.

Coconut trees by the shore.

Here's the Princess Hamham, again. :)

Getting ready to have my pictures taken by the sunset.

HAHAHAHAAH!!! This is how to ruin a perfectly good background.
Fail x 999

Another day, another chance (to take pictures and not mess up perhaps).

Breakfast consisted of ripe mangoes and binungay, a local delicacy that you must try in case you happen to be in Bolinao. Glutinous rice with coconut milk cooked inside a bamboo. :)

Walking by the seashore.

I found these star fishes.

WAAAIIITTT!!! The rock is slippery and it's burning the soles of my feet.
How to ruin a picture 101 by me.

Okay, let's have another go at it. I'll pose like this. :)

These sea urchins were nestled on top of the rock I was sitting on.

We also visited the Enchanted Cave.

I'm the official photographer and all I have is my iPhone. Hahaha!

Inside the cave. Sorry for the lighting.

Outside the cave. The people here have developed the area and keep it clean. They have a resort and it's quite nice.

On the way to the lighthouse.

I believe this is an old lighthouse.

The 400 year old Church of St. James.

I absolutely hate it when the sand gets in my feet and I had a lot of scratches from the rocks on the cave. However, going to Bolinao is such a good experience especially when you spend it with wonderful people you care for. I guess this is a permanent destination for me whenever I need to take some time off.

I was supposed to post a review today but the sun does not want to work with me. I did take pictures but they all came out blurry so I will just try again tomorrow. I'm trying to blog again, so I hope you enjoy this post somehow. :)

I'm back!

Hello! I hope my blog still has followers. First of, I would like to apologize for not updating this blog sooner. I have been meaning to but I have been pretty preoccupied lately. I would also like to apologize for the poor quality of the pictures on this post, as I am still experimenting with the camera.

Moving on to the body of the post ----

I won in Penelope's giveaway! I just want to thank her for all these lovely goodies, which I haven't gotten around to using but will be soon. I was super excited when I found out I won Penny's giveaway because her handmade brush rolls and pouches are so pretty. Everything just looks so wonderful!

Penelope is one of the prettiest and sweetest bloggers I know. She sent the following as prizes:

A small floral pouch and a Rose de Mai Makeup Brush Roll from Handmade By Penelope
Inside the pouch were samples of Sisley Express Flower Gel Mask, Lancome Genefique and a very cute bow magic/velcro pad from Pretty & Cute.

I will be trying the products and will report how these work for me. I will also post about Penny's handmade products because I want everyone to see how well made and beautiful these are. Okay, I lied... I already put my brushes inside the brush roll because it's too pretty not to use!

A Sleek idivine palette in Storm
(Please let me know if you want to see a review and swatches of the eyeshadows.)

A very pretty vintage inspired mirror from Paul and Joe in a brown velvet pouch; A Chanel charm and Penny's favorite Fig & Rouge 100 Organic Balm in Sweet Geranium; And, a beautiful flower bracelet from the Danish Pilgrim. :)
Everything is really pretty and makes me feel so lady-like!

Deluxe samples/travel size Lancome Genefique, Liz Earle Skn repair Light Moisturizer, Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, 2x Chanel Hydramax + Active Serum and Jouer Luminating Moisture Tint in Pearl. She even included a sample of Estee Laauder Pleasures in Bloom.

Super excited to try these products out! I shall be posting my skin routine very soon but I will try to use these as well. :)

Thank you, Penny! :) You truly made me happy and  I will continue to support and visit your blog. If you haven't, please do visit Inspired by Beauty

Now more of the things I should be reviewing:

emjQi Tweeze Born Pretty store
I mainly chose this because I have always been curious about epilators. I will try to do with a detailed post with some tips and a full review.

Kiehl's Supremely Gentle Eye Makeup Remover and Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution.
Aisa from Kiehl's told me that the makeup remover will last a year and I am very curious if it really will. I have gone through my 2nd bottle of Kiehl's Ultimate White Intensive Whitening Essence which was replaced by the Clearly Corrective line, so I bought the essence to try and compare it with the previous one I used.

BECCA Line + Define Pencil in Santorini and 2 Beach Tints in Grapefruit and Fig.
My growing collection of BECCA Cosmetics. :) I shall post the swatches soon.

Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Lip balm SPF 15 and Boujois Natural Origin in 11 Rose Innocence.

Charles of swapped some items. I still owe her though. She sent me so much! She has been raving about Burberry cosmetics so I decided to give these a try. Thank you so much, Charles! :)

BURBERRY Lip Cover in No. 22 Delicate Rose and No. 03 Cameo Pink; Light Glow in No. 02 Cameo Blush.

Sorry for the long post. I will be  posting again really soon to post reviews. I hope everyone is doing well. :)
